Like all sex workers, I feel that street workers should be allowed to define for themselves how they feel about their work, so I have trouble calling street sex work degrading. I also don't agree with this sex workers hierarchy, where certain forms of sex work are more meaningful and "better" than other forms. It depends of the context and how the workers feel about it. My feeling is that no form of sex work is inherently degrading. Rather, oppressive laws and working conditions as well as stigmas and hatred against sex workers can make it this way. These are the things that cause victimization, not just street work in and of itself.
